Medical Care

Our Provision

Healing Hands Health Center provides comprehensive primary care for adults by appointment only including:

  • Treatment for minor acute illnesses like bronchitis, sinus infections, influenza and urinary tract infections
  • Ongoing care for chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, allergies, thyroid disorders and high cholesterol
  • Preventive medical care like flu shots, screenings for cancer and diagnostic tests for chronic illnesses
  • Assessment of mental health concerns and limited services like medication management and short-term therapy

Additionally, Healing Hands Health Center offers:

  • Assistance obtaining free medications
  • Referrals for some reduced cost medical specialists
  • Health & Wellness programs

Healing Hands Health Center DOES NOT provide:

  • Emergency or Urgent Care
  • Prenatal Care
  • Immunizations (except for flu shots)
  • Routine Gynecological Exams
  • Narcotics Prescriptions

Eligibility Guidelines

In order to schedule an appointment, you must first know theĀ eligibility guidelines. The guidelines include:

  • Reside In: Northeast Tennessee or Southwest Virginia
  • Patient and/or someone in their household must be employed or have worked in the last 12 months, unless they are retired or a student
  • Have NO Medical, TennCare/Medicaid or Medicare Insurance
  • Not eligible for free/charitable care elsewhere
  • Total Household Income May Not Exceed 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

Our Schedule

In order to schedule an appointment, you must first have an eligibility screening. Screening times are:

  • Monday (2:00 PM to 4:00 PM)
  • Tuesday (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
  • Wednesday (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
  • Thursday (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

NOTE: No appointment necessary for screening! Please complete the required documentation in the Patient Application page and come during one of our screening times.
